Megan grew up in the beautiful mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. She went to UNC-Chapel Hill for undergrad (go Tarheels!), then attended the University of Tennessee for veterinary school (go Vols, kind of). After veterinary school, she accepted a small-animal internship at Alameda East Veterinary Hospital in Denver (home of Animal Planet’s Emergency Vets) from 2009-2010. Since that time she has been practicing small animal medicine, and joined Overland in 2015. Her professional interests include surgery, dentistry, and internal medicine.
In her spare time, you can find her doing triathlons, hiking, snowboarding, SCUBA diving, CrossFitting, asking to pet any dog she encounters on the street, or hanging out with her 115-pound rescue black lab, Charlie. Charlie’s interests include drooling with his head out the window on car rides, eating, asking to eat, and dreaming about eating.
