Overland Animal Hospital is pleased to provide you with our training policies and important information to have a better understanding of our terms.
Because our trainer’s schedule tends to fill up about two weeks in advance, we have a cancellation policy for training appointments. We have made this decision because last minute cancellations inhibit our ability to schedule those vacancies with our waitlisted clients. If you are unable to make it to your training appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so we may then offer that time slot to another client. The cancellation policy is the following: Please let us know by noon the day before your appointment. If you cancel or reschedule your appointment past then, you forfeit your session.
In order to make the most of training for your dog, there needs to be consistency. As a result, we have implemented an expiration policy. We ask that you use the entirety of your training package within four months of the first session attended. Any unused training sessions will be forfeited.
Drop-off and pick-up for training are as follows: Drop-off is any time before the trainer is scheduled to work that day. We ask that you do not pick up your dog from training until the trainer calls to inform you that your dog’s session is complete. Training sessions are often split in two so your dog can get a break in between to recoup from the mental exhaustion of training. Therefore, pickup time is not guaranteed and the time on the trainer’s schedule is not necessarily the time your dog will be trained. If you pick up your dog before the trainer has called, you may forfeit the full or remainder of the session that was not completed.
While we prioritize dogs that are not in daycare because they do not have access to outside their kennel, there is no guarantee as to when their training session will be completed. If an owner is adding on daycare to their training reservation, we will do our best to avoid having dogs miss out on any playtime. Since there is no guarantee they will not be pulled from group play for training, all training dogs will only be charged for a half day of daycare.
