Kirk Cito, DVM: Hospital Director
Dr. Kirk Cito is starting his 18th year of practicing veterinary medicine in the Denver area. Having cultivated a special interest in exotics and surgery at Colorado State University, and refining his skills in private practice since graduating in 1991, the Colorado native is now living in Highlands Ranch with his wife Candace and three children: Alec, Alyssa and Bryn and two dogs Jessie and Sam. Dr. Cito stresses the importance of quality of care for the pet and education of the client to facilitate a long and healthy life for our furry and not so furry family members. “Our ultimate goal is to have our patients and clients receive the best in care and service every time they visit our beautiful Hospital and Pet Resort.”

Kellee Khadijah Smith, CVT, B.S, M.Sc: Technician Services Director
Kellee Khadijah Smith, BS, CVT, enjoys a diverse career in veterinary medicine. She graduated from the Bel-Rea Institute of Denver. Soon after her veterinary technician training, Kellee obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado with a B.S. in Chemistry & Zoological Science. She currently attends graduate school at CU, pursuing a MS in Microbiology, also a PHd candidate in the fall of 2009. Kellee enjoys supporting her Denver community, as well as dedicating her time across the nation and world. She frequently volunteers for local spay and neuter clinics and at Native American Reservations in such places as Montana & the Yucatan. Furthermore, Kellee spends time with Middle-East Peace groups, collaborating with interfaith relations, on how to overcome misconceptions. She also involves herself in after-school tutoring programs for inner-city children. Kellee takes part in many organizations, including: NAVTA, CVMA, DAVMS, CACVT, Rocky Mountain Parasitological Association (graduate student standing), and CO-WY Assn of Microbiologists (graduate student standing). She is also a professional international artist/instructor and choreographer of Middle-Eastern Dance. When not riding her Ducati sport bike through the Rocky Mountains, she loves spending time hiking with her bullmastiff, “Gabi.”
Elyse Donnarumma: Certified Veterinary Technician
Originally from Pennsylvania, I moved to Colorado to attend Bel- Rea Institute of Veterinary Technology. I graduated in March of 2006 with an Associate Degree in Applied Science and later earned my C.V.T. I pride myself in client education and helping the animals without a voice. I started out working with animals in an animal shelter and since have joined day practice to help educate families about caring for their furry family members. I have a zoo of animals at home including cats, dogs, turtles, fish, frogs and a guinea pig. I enjoy skiing, hiking and fostering animals until finding them good homes.
Sheri Anaya : Front Desk Concierge
I am a Colorado native and have lived in the Denver area my entire life. I am currently attending Metro State University and am majoring in bussiness. As the Concierge here at Overland Animal Hospital & Pet Resort, my favorite part of my job is being able to see and get to know each and every one of the animals that come through the door. I love seeing the different personalities of each pet and owner and I get great satisfaction knowing that we are giving the pet family members a safe and happy place for their medical, boarding or grooming needs. I have been working with animals for over five years and they are one of my greatest pleasures in life. My husband and I are the proud parents of an active and entertaining Jack Russell Terrier named Scruffy. I take pride in the work I do here at Overland and I look forward to seeing you and your pet soon!
Sarah Kugler: Front Desk Concierge
Born in Denver, I grew up in Florida and went to Beauty College and did hair styling for six years before deciding to come back home to Colorado. I recieved my degree in Psychology and worked in the mental health field with MHCD for 3 years before joining the Overland team. I have always loved animals and am currently a foster mom for homeless cats and their kittens with PAALS. I am a full time mother to my furry baby Indra, a very feisty Pekingese whom I rescued from Maxfund. I greatly enjoy working with animals and have plans to continue my education so that I may be an even greater help to you and your pet. I look forward to meeting you and your fur baby soon!
Conrad Linenberger: Pet Resort Director
I was born in Colorado, but I have traveled to many places allowing me to get different perspectives on life. I attended school at Pima Medical Institute where I graduated in 2003 with a certificate in Veterinary Assisting. I am currently attending Metro State University where I will be getting a B.S in Zoology. I am experienced and comfortable with all animals including exotics both in medical circumstances as well as general care.
As the Resort Manager here at Overland, I can offer your pet a fun, safe, exciting, and relaxing experience.
Michael Anaya: Pet Resort Technician
A Colorado native, I am proud to be one of the Pet Resort Technicians here at Overland. I enjoy coming to work each and every day looking forward to making your pet family member's stay a wonderful experience. My wife Sheri and I, along with our herd of animals live on site to ensure your pet's safety and comfort before, during and after business hours. I will be running with your dog outside, playing fetch or just visiting and spending time with our valued guests throughout their stay in our luxury resort. William Meredith: Pet Resort Technician
I am a Colorado native who loves to be with and spend time along side all animals. I am currently enrolled at Westwood Community College of Denver where I will acquire my B.S. in Criminal Justice within the next year. I have been working with animals in boarding facilities for over 7 years now and enjoy seeing the variety of personality types this career provides. I am comfortable with every pet from shy to aggressive and will do my best to make their stay as comfortable and exciting as possible.
Brooke Burtard: Pet Resort Technician
An Arizona native, I am currently a full time student at Front Range Community College in Northern Colorado looking to have a lengthy career in animal medicine. While on school breaks, I love working at Overland and am grateful for the opportunity to play with all of the wonderful pets staying at our resort. My seasonal availability doesn't limit my love for all animals, especially my two dogs Bob and Max.
Gail Thompson: Pet stylist
I am a Certified Groomer who is a Colorado native. I have always had a passion for pets. I fell in love with grooming dogs and cats 5 years ago and have been doing it ever since. I would love to give your pet a day at the spa, and make them feel like a million dollars. I enjoy doing full service grooms, as well as, simple trims, or a bath and brush. After a day of pampering your pet, I spend my free time with my husband and two girls. I have two dogs and a cat who I love dearly. My main goal here at Overland Animal Hospital and Pet Resort is to help educate the pet owner on the importance of healthy grooming for their beloved pets.
